Introduction

The BC Food Processors Health & Safety Council is a not-for-profit organization incorporated to serve the Food and Beverage Processing Industry in BC. Our vision is to be "industry leaders in health & safety," and our mission is "to foster commitment among employers to reduce the injury rate in the food & beverage industry." Currently, the injury rate in the food processing industry is 50% higher than in the manufacturing sector as a whole and twice that of all BC industries combined.

As part of our commitment to supporting and promoting workplace health and safety, the BCFPHSC has developed this resource site to enable businesses in the food and beverage industry to achieve a more successful safety culture. Specifically, this site is designed to help users locate information, consultants, and service providers within the various specialized fields of occupational health and safety.
